Guilty Little Pleasures
Now that I have satelite I can find AFV almost every night twice a night. And I'm not the only one in my house who enjoys it!! It has become a family thing! K laughs his ass off at people who fall off cliffs and get hit with bats, and cringes at those who fall of get hit in the nuts. I like the baby clips and of course the clips with the bad 80's hair and Coco freaks out at anything that has to do with dogs.
Not only do I get to watch the Tom Bergeron shows, but last night I actually found an old school AFV with Bob Saget! Yes indeedy, I went right back into that fake living room set and watched funny people do funny things. And actually, the old show is much better than the new show! At least that's what I think.
So, onto the style part of my blog for today. Last night on AFV (old school version) there was this classic video of a little kid (2ish in age) climbing his mini waterslide with a hose. Upon getting to the top of the 3 step slide the boy stops and looks at the camera with the hose still in his hand and a funny look on his face. From the cameras point of view, you can't see the hose and it looks like the baby is having this massive pee into the pool. Very funny right?! That's what I thought until that became the winning video and good ole Bob went up to talk to the winning family, (little pee-er included). It was at this point of the show that I saw the saddest hair faux pas I have ever seen. This small 2 year old boy had what can't even be described as a mullett, but that is the only word I think there is for it in hair vocabulary... I shall describe. (Man I wish I could draw on blogger)
Okay, so from the ears up and back this boy had long hair. It was just blunt cut down to about his chin. Got that? Ears back.... Then from the ears up and forward, someone had taken the clippers to this little boy!!!! Like buzzed!!! Do you see what I mean?! How can that be classified as a mullett when it is such a horrible torturous thing to do to a little boy?!
Anyways, I digress.
That was what I did last night. Stressed over the bad styles of the 80's.
I promise that my next post will be on something other than mulletts.
But I must say, there is something great about that opening AFV theme song. Brings back some great memories...Come on....you know it does. You just want to sing along. Don't ya!?

The true mullett
I was standing in the middle of the parking lot staring at my new dream car when I say a guy checking out a huge extended cab, 1/2 ton truck. (I'm a girl so I don't know much about trucks but I do know what this guy was looking at). At first I didn't get the greatest look at him because he was bent over the front of the truck checking out the engine. When he stood up however, I got the full look. There he was in all his glory. From bottom to top...work boots, tapered leg jeans, t-shirt with some big logo on the front, denim jacket (the exact same color as the tapered leg jeans) and.....a mullett. And I mean a true mullett. He had short hair on the sides, longer on the top and brushed back, and then beautiful curly locks flowing down the back. Now the long hair didn't quite hit his shoulders, so that makes it a conservative mullett; but it was a classic.
Who says there isn't any style on PEI? I think a guy whith a BIG truck and a BIG mullett is a great example of style. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if I had met this guy and his truck at the Lobster Shanty. Now that is truly a great image to conjure up!!
Cheers!

Potter Puppet Pals in
This is the other one that makes me smile.....quite frankly everyone should watch this once a day.
I Don't Like Mondays
So here is my dive into the world of blogging.
Every morning when I come into work I sit myself behind the computer, bring up YouTube and play this little video. Funny thing....I do like Mondays! Monday is one of my days off and I LOVE IT!!! So it's kind of ironic that I come into work (everyday but Mondays) and I listen to the song "I Don't Like Mondays".
The truth is, it just makes me happy. (That and the Harry Potter Puppet Pals video).
I must say, however, that it's a good thing that I come into work so early before all of my other co-workers because I'm pretty sure that listening to this song every day (sometimes more than once), would definately drive them nuts. Right Ali?
Oh well. Everyone needs their guilty little pleasures...right!?
